David Musgrave

David Clayton Musgrave 8/10/1944 – 11/8/2010 David's life was blessed with amazing friends, loving family, beautiful music, and extraordinarily food. David had traveled many paths until he settled back where he was born in Idaho Falls in 1992, when he opened the well-known Hawg Smoke Café. He nurtured old and new friendships during his days as Chef and restaurateur. David is survived by his loving wife, Sue, his little big brother, John (Jeanni) Musgrave III, his daughters, Melanie, Emily, Sarah, and Stephanie, and stepson, Aaron. He was the proud grandfather of Sierra and Haley, and Marissa, and is survived by many wonderful, caring cousins and his loving Aunt Cheryl. He also leaves behind his beloved kitties, Gomez, Timothy, Boufy, Sylvia, Elvis, Mokie, and Willow. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Clayton Musgrave, father, John Musgrave II, and uncles, Joe (Katie), Dick Sr. and Bill Clayton. He was also preceded in death by his loving furry companions, Roger Doggy and Audrey Doggy. David's wishes were that he be cremated and that there be no services, as he felt overwhelmed with love at the recent Hawg Smoke Reunion Concert, where all his family and best friends came together to celebrate his life with music, good food, and love on September 17th. We extend endless gratitude and thanks to everyone for the love and support shown to David and his family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's name to the Snake River Animal Shelter, P. O. Box 51741, Idaho Falls, ID 83405-1174. (Portrait by Roy Reynolds.)
