David Hoy

David Gerald Hoy, 64, of Firth, passed away August 12, 2018, at Bingham Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing & Rehab Care Center. David was born November 21, 1953, in Glendale, California, to John "Jack" Harold Hoy and Patty Lou Finch Hoy. He grew up and attended schools in the area and graduated from high school in Temple City, California. He also attended Rio Hondo Community College and Cleveland Chiropractic School where he received a Doctoral Degree. On April 12, 2006, he married Ilima Darlene Hoy in Chino, California. David and Ilima moved to Firth, Idaho, where David worked as a Respiratory Therapist and Chiropractor. He was a member of Children of the Free Ministry. He enjoyed waterskiing, tennis, and football. David is survived by his wife, Ilima Darlene Hoy of Firth, ID; daughter, Stacey Kathryn Hoy of Huntington Beach, CA; son, Robert John (Lynette) Hoy of Huntington Beach, CA; son, Micheal (Sarah) Cummins of Banning, CA; son, Daniel James (Lindsey) Cummins of VA; daughter, Darlene Kalamaku (Erik Crester) Santoro of Muireta, CA; son, Vincenzo Anello Santoro of Mesa, AZ; daughter, Julia Marie (Brandon) Hoy of Pomona, CA; brother, John Walter (Doireann) Hoy of Austin, TX; sister, June Marie Hoy of Duarte, CA; brother, James Alan (Debra) Hoy of Mesa, AZ; brother, Moana Lani Oliver of Firth, ID; sister, Malia Rogina (Kit Saxton) Garcia of Basalt, ID; sister, Maeva Lani (Brandon) Henderson of Firth, ID; sister, Danielle Marie Mechling of Blackfoot, ID; mother-in-law, Lehua Garcia; 8 grandchildren and 11 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents, Walter and Vera Hoy; maternal grandparents, Gerald and Myrtle Finch; and father-in-law, Charles S. Garcia. Private family services will be held at a later date.
