David Hays

David Gene Hays, Sr., 61, of Idaho Falls, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born on December 5, 1950 in Eloy, Arizona to Hurley Pulaski Hays and Wanetta B. Ralstin Hays. He grew up and attended schools in Arkansas. On September 24, 2001 David married Esther Marie Thornock in Idaho Falls. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. David enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and playing horseshoes. He loved playing with his grandson and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. David leaves behind: Wife: Esther Hays of Idaho Falls, ID; Daughter: Tammy (Steve) Menendez of Nampa, ID; Son: David (Michelle) Hays, Jr. of Nampa, ID; Son: Randy Hays of Idaho Falls, ID; Son: Daniel Thornock of Idaho Falls, ID; 1 Grandson, Taylor Hays; Brothers: Ronnie (Joyce) Hays, Gary Hays, Paul (Caletha) Hays, Lester Hays; and Sisters: Barbara (Jerry) Harris, Linda Michelmann, and Virginia (David) Fisher; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Jerry Hays and Doyle Hays. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2012 at the LDS Lincoln Fallsbrook Chapel (3700 East Lincoln Road). The family will visit with friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.
