DAVID RAY HANSEN IDAHO FALLS, ID - David Ray Hansen, 54, of Idaho Falls, died December 24, 2003, at his home. He was born October 22, 1949, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Norman Carl Hansen and Phyllis Marjean Davies Hansen. He grew up in Idaho Falls, attending New Sweden Elementary, O.E. Bell Jr. High, Clair E. Gale Jr. High, Idaho Falls and Skyline High Schools, and graduated from Aberdeen High School. He graduated as a Machinist Specialist from ISU Vo-Tech in Pocatello. He has lived in Osgood and Aberdeen, Idaho, Missouri, Utah and California. He served in the U. S. Army as a Medic stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He married Annette Lemmon on October 10, 1975, in Pocatello, Idaho, and they had two daughters. They were later divorced. He worked on the family farm, as a foreman supervisor for a potato processing plant, as a machinist, and as a chef. He had a deep love and incredible knowledge of a wide variety of music and performers, and participated as a drummer in the band, The Kourds, for several years; a big part of his life was also spent camping, hiking, and fishing with his family and friends in the mountains. He belonged to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Surviving are: Parents: Norman C. and Marjean D. Hansen, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Andrea Hansen, Pocatello, ID Daughter: Jennifer (Serafin) Ramirez, Clovis, NM Sister: Susan Parkinson, Cameron, MO Brother: Douglas (Rita) Hansen, Albany, MO Brother: Michael “Buck” (Robyn) Hansen, Tetonia, ID Brother: Joseph (Marnee) Hansen, Kennewick, WA 5 Grandsons Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2003, at the Wood Funeral Home East Side Chapel (963 S. Ammon), with Bishop Norman C. Hansen officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1 to 2:00 p.m. at Wood East Side Chapel. Military Rites will be performed at the cemetery by the Bonneville County Veterans Team. The family requests that donations for a headstone be sent c/o Buck Hansen, P. O. Box 96, Tetonia, Idaho 83452. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
