DAVID J. GLENN
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- David Joseph Glenn, 66, returned to his Heavenly Father July 7, 2005, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 17, 1938, to Joseph and Ester Glenn in Anaconda, Montana. After graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Navy, where for six years he sailed the seas on ships and submarines. In 1963, he moved to Idaho to work for the Federal Aviation Administration as a Radar Technician on Sawtelle Peak in Island Park.
In 1964, he married his true love Joyce Biorn of Ashton, Idaho, and together they made their home in Idaho Falls for 40 years.
He belonged to the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the American Legion and former member of the Elks Lodge. In 2001-2002, he was an Elk of the Year.
He enjoyed model railroading, coffee with friends, playing his saxophone, and most of all spending time with his wife and grandchildren. He showed his family every day how much he loved them. David will be dearly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two sons, Paul (Nakia) Glenn of Broomfield, CO and Pete Glenn of Seattle, WA; two daughters, Rita (Scott) Hale of Boise, Idaho and Rebecca (Aaron) Judy of Idaho Falls; his grandchildren, Jessica, Nathan, Nicole and Abby; a brother, John (Claire) Glenn of Portland, OR; three sisters, Ruth Connor and Judy (Pat) Tracey of Anaconda, Montana and Mary Domitrovich of Wisconsin; brother-in-laws, Gene (Leone) Biorn, Bob (Joan) Biorn, Don(Shirley) Biorn; sister-in-laws, Naoma (Abe) Rogers, Ina (Rex) Bowles, Mary (LaRon) Binggeli and Kathy (David) Mattson.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, mother-in-law, father-in-law, two brother-in-laws, a sister-in-law and a great niece.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 8:00 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2005 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (corner of 9th and Lee) with Father Caleb Vogel, officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) in Idaho Falls.
