David Green Edwards, 77, of Idaho Falls, passed away on July 15, 2015, at Teton Post Acute Care and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born February 26, 1938, in Layton, Utah to Morgan Clifford Edwards and Nora Layton Green Edwards. The family moved to Idaho Falls where he attended Idaho Falls High School. As a teen during the summer, he labored at a ranch in Wyoming. He went on to serve in the U.S. Marine Corp.
On July 1, 1961, he married Deanna Jean Gneiting at the Bonneville Hotel in Idaho Falls. Together they had two children, Dirk and Anna. They were later divorced. Alongside his two brothers, Morgan and Cliff, he owned and operated Edwards Brothers Trucking and later managed Kenworth Trucking in Pocatello, Idaho. He then started his own business, Asphalt Express, where he worked until retirement.
David enjoyed talking, telling stories, flirting with all the girls and humoring everyone with his costumes.

Sister-in-law: Bonnie Edwards, Idaho Falls, ID
3 Grandchildren: Kaili Johnson, Jake Christensen and Nathaniel David Edwards
2 Great Grandchildren: Lyla Johnson and Maxwell Johnson
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Morgan Edwards and Nathaniel Edwards and a brother-in-law, Andrew Schroder.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon). The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 6:30-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior, both at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park with military rites by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
