David Dalton

The family of David Leo Dalton are sad to announce the passing of their brother. He died July 29th, 2023.

David was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, on July 23, 1979 to Don Dalton and Debra Rudolph-Dalton (Shedd). He went to Taylorview Junior High School and Idaho Falls High School.

He joined the US Army, where he obtained the rank of sergeant, and did several tours overseas. He worked in the oil fields, and as an OTR truck driver. David was briefly married and following their divorce, he bought a home in Ammon, Idaho, and resided there until his death.

He played baseball, football, and wrestled. Along with the hobbies of driving fast and hanging out with his friends. David was a family man and loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.

David is survived by his siblings Daniel Dalton, Denna Dalton (Meier), Derrick Shedd, and DeAndra Jo Shedd (Jones).

David was preceded in death by his sister Jennifer Jo Dalton, his father Don Leo Dalton, and his mother Debra Kay Rudolph-Dalton (Shedd).

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2023, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. He will be buried in the Ammon Cemetery. The service will be broadcast live to this page. Military honors will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and the Idaho Military Honor Guard.
