David Grover Daley, 68, of Ammon, passed away March 6, 2018, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Dave was born September 4, 1949, in Glens Falls, New York, to Bernard Richard Daley and Ruth Edna Grover Daley. He grew up and attended schools in South Glen Falls and graduated from South Glen Falls High School. He also attended Utah Valley University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. On March 28, 1970, he married Susan Fern Haltermann in Hudson Falls, New York. To this union were two born children, Dawn and Douglas. They lived in Annapolis, Maryland, where Dave worked as a software engineer for an aviation company. Dave and Susan retired to Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Dave enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed woodworking, photography and computers. Dave is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Susan Daley of Ammon, ID; daughter, Dawn Marie Getman of South Glen Falls, NY; son, Douglas Michael (Suzie) Daley of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Richard (Patricia) Daley of South Glen Falls, NY; sister, Darlene (David) Rozell of South Glen Falls, NY; and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018, at the Ammon LDS Blackhawk Building, 7118 S. Ledgerock Drive, with Bishop Randy Hiskey officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
