David William Andrus, 63, of Idaho Falls, returned home to his loving Heavenly Father on Monday, November 27, 2017. He passed away at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. David was born July 27, 1954, to Douglas Andrus Sr. and Veatrice Nelson Andrus in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He was the youngest of six children. He grew up in the area and attended Temple View Elementary, Ethel Boyce Elementary, Central Junior High School, and graduated from Bonneville High School. He knew how to work hard and started working at a very young age. He had a love for semi-trucks and began his career at Doug Andrus Distribution working with his Dad and brothers. He worked for them for a little while and then he wanted to venture out on his own. He had his own trucking company called David Andrus Trucking, where he owned and operated a small fleet. He did that for several years. He then went on to work for Prime Trucking and worked for them for ten years. Most recently, he worked for Gila Express, a trucking company owned and operated by his son. David loved working for his sons. He married Dana Turnbow and they had five children. They later divorced. He then married Carolyn Marie Perrigo and they had two children. They also divorced. David had a huge heart and would give anyone the shirt off his back. He had a testimony of his Heavenly Father and of his Savior, Jesus Christ. David is survived by his seven children, Shane (Mary) Andrus of Arizona; Angie (Marc) Ashton of Arizona; Clint (Amanda) Andrus of Arizona; Michelle (Jason) Clarke of Idaho; Craig (Sara) Andrus of Arizona; Milo (Michelle) Andrus of Idaho; and Price Andrus of Idaho; sister, Janet Orchard of Idaho; brother, Heber (Carolyn) Andrus of Idaho; brother, Stephen Andrus of Idaho; sister-in-law: Deanna Andrus of Idaho; brother-in-law: Don Fielding of Utah and 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Doug Andrus Jr., a sister, Norma Fielding, and a brother-in-law, Gary Orchard. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2017, at the Idaho Falls LDS 7th Ward (955 Memorial Drive) with Bishop Kurt Krupp Jr. officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and Friday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Ucon Cemetery. At David’s request, there will be a truck procession from the church to the cemetery.
