Darwin Judy

DARWIN W. JUDY IDAHO FALLS, ID - Darwin Wayne Judy, 75, of Ammon, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend returned home on October 1, 2003 from his earthly home of natural causes. He was born January 14, 1928, at Idaho Falls, to Alva Clark Judy and Louie Dean Otteson Judy. He attended schools in the area, graduating from Ammon High School. Following graduation he attended Ricks College and Utah State University. In 1946, he was drafted into the United States Air Force and served as a clerk typist. In his later years he returned to Eastern Idaho Technical College to further his education. On November 4, 1955, he married Glenda Marlene Tirrell in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They were blessed with sux children. He loved his family with a passion as they would work together. He especially loved to hear his children sing and perform. He rejoiced during his families accomplishments and yet was a great comfort in time of trial and tribulation. He was a life time farmer and rancher in the Ammon area. He grew up working with his family on the dry farms just East of Ammon. They worked very hard, but would take time out to go fishing in Yellowstone Park. They spent the summer living on the dry farms and the winters in Ammon. Darwin worked for U & I Sugar Factory and Bonneville County Road and Bridge. He was greatly respected and admired by all those he worked with. There wasn’t anything Dad couldn’t fix. Darwin was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission to Copenhagen, Denmark. He served in two Elders Quorum Presidencies, as Sunday School Superintendent, Executive Secretary, High Priest Group Secretary, and was in the leadership of the Stake Young Adults. He loved his cows, knowing each one by name. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting on the dry farm with his brothers and sons. He loved taking his grandchildren fishing to "Grandpa's Pond." Then afterwards one of his favorite things was telling them stories about the big one that got away. Surviving are: Wife: Glenda M.
