DARWIN GILES
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Darwin Lee Giles, 61, of Ucon, died February 23, 2009, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born January 14, 1948 in Wendell, Idaho, to Leland Ray Giles and Annie Lovina Brown Giles. He attended local schools and graduated from Shelley High School with honors.
He lived in Carey, Blackfoot and Shelley before moving to Ucon where he resided for the last 35 years. He worked at the U&I Sugar Factory and as a laborer in local potato warehouses.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed reading books. Although he was a very quiet man, he was always very giving and returned favors two fold. He worked hard throughout his life and helped care for his mother for many years. He loved his neighbors and appreciated them looking out for him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Norma Darlene Giles Burrup; and brother, Verl Lynn Giles.
Graveside Services will be held at 3:45 p.m., Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at Fielding Memorial Park with President Mark Giles of the Ucon LDS Stake officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
