Darwin was born July 8, 1939, in Lewisville, Idaho, to Aaron Clauvasa Fife and Jessie Juanita Miller Fife. He grew up and attended schools in Menan and graduated from Rigby High School. He also attended Ricks College.
He married Ann Chivers in Idaho Falls and they were later divorced.
On May 27, 1977, Darwin married Marilyn Jacobs in Rexburg, Idaho. They made their home in Rexburg, Idaho, later moving to Island Park, finally settling in Idaho Falls. Darwin worked as a plumber and excavator.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, ATV riding, boating, snow machines, and motorcycles.
Darwin is survived by his wife, Marilyn Fife of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Wayne (Nicki) Fife of Menan, ID; son, Joe (Trudy) Fife of Ammon, ID; daughter, Holly (Kerry) Romrell of Rigby, ID; Alicia (Scott) Jacobson of Rexburg, ID; daughter, Tami (Greg) Cochrane of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Jason (Nicole) Hansen of Grant, ID; Melissa (Micah) Smith of Pleasant Grove, UT; daughter, Lindsay Marlowe of Twin Falls, ID; brother, Paul (Cheryl) Fife of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Karen (Tom) Jenson of Rigby, ID; 29 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Jessie Fife; grandson, Randy Fife; granddaughter, Whittney Holm; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:30-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Both visitations will be held at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
