Darrell Dean Forman, 80, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away February 12, 2012, at Bonaventure Assisted Living Center in Idaho Falls.
Darrell was born April 24, 1931, in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Albert Aaron Forman and Melvia Ann Forman Mecham. He attended Rigby High School.
He married Esther Josephine Smout in April 3, 1952, in Lewisville, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1955. Darrell proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He owned and operated Forman Pump in Idaho Falls. He also drove bus for School District #91, then worked as a custodian for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints until his retirement.
Darrell was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had many callings in the church, including serving in the Elders Quorum Presidency, the Bishopric, and on the Stake High Council.
After retirement Darrell enjoyed spending time with his wife Esther. Together they traveled to California, Arizona, Southern Utah and Star Valley, Wyoming. He enjoyed spending time with his family, “hauling dirt” (dirt bikes), camping and fishing.

Daughter, Vicki Lyn (Jeff) Prudent of Idaho Falls, ID;
Son, Darren (Sue) Forman of Iona, ID;
Sister, Lunetta Melba (Delbert) Johnson of Idaho Falls, ID
Sister, Carolyn Clapp of Iona, ID
15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren;
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Lynn “Butch” Forman, Vernon Forman, DeViral Forman, and Paul Forman; and a sister, Roseann Forman.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2012, at the Idaho Falls Second Ward, 855 S. Boulevard. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, and Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Lewisville Cemetery.
