Darold Sides

Darold Donald Sides, 68, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away October 11, 2011, after a valiant fight with cancer. He was under the loving care of his two sisters, Darla and Debbie. Darold was born November 1, 1942, in Burley, Idaho, to Donald Delbert Sides and LaVern Josephine Wardle Sides. He grew up in Burley and graduated from Burley High School. He also attended film technician schooling. Following high school he joined the U. S. Navy and served his country during the Vietnam War. Darold worked as a truck driver and film processor, but his main occupation was driving long and short haul truck and working in construction. He was a member of Idaho Falls Calvary Chapel. Darold enjoyed fishing, camping, taking his mother to the park and for rides after the loss of his father, and spending time with his fishing partners. Darold is survived by two sisters, Darla (DeLaine) Heyrend and Debra (Larry) Moore, both of Idaho Falls, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Susie & Jessie Sides and Raymond & Josephine Wardle, four uncles, five aunts, and two infant nieces. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2011, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, with Pastor Gordon Boyle of the Idaho Falls Calvary Chapel officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Monday at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
