Darline Hodder Blair, 93, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 20, 2018, at Teton Post Acute Care Center. Darline was born May 26, 1924, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to George Hodder and Anna Halgren Hodder. She grew up and attended schools in the area and graduated from Granite High School. On September 4, 1948, she married Thomas Blair Jr. in Salt Lake City, Utah. To this union were born two children, Paula and Tom. Darline and Thomas made their home in Pocatello. Darline was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker and also worked as a secretary. She worked for the City of Pocatello Water Department, Montgomery Ward in Pocatello, Idaho State University College of Education and Idaho Department of Fish and Game in Pocatello. She was a member of the Pocatello UMC women’s ministries and UMW Treasurer and Secretary. She also was active in the tape ministry and prayer chain with Calvary Chapel in Pocatello. When she moved to Idaho Falls she attended Watersprings Church. Darline was also a member of IPEA and the Retail Clerk Union. She loved children and was a foster grandparent while living in Pocatello. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, reading, ceramics, sewing, china painting, doing word puzzles, exercising, water aerobics, knitting, and Bible study. Darline is survived by daughter, Paula Blair of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Thomas (Cathy) Blair of Pocatello, ID; sister-in-law, Virginia Tennant of Salt Lake City, UT; and many nieces and nephews and granddogs, Bella and Trixie. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sisters, Marjorie Palm, Loraine Carlson, and Serina Rose; and her brothers, George Carstenson and Eugene Hodder. The family would like to thank the wonderful professionals at EIRMC, Teton Post-Acute Care and Hospice of Eastern Idaho for caring for our mother. A gathering will be held to remember Darline on Monday, April 9, 2018, at 2:30 p.m. at Watersprings Church, 4250 S. 25th East in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Interment will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Pocatello, Idaho, at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10th.
