God called her home while her husband and children were at her bedside. She was born March 1, 1930, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Jack Ackerman and Mary Gertrude Oreno Ackerman. The family moved to Idaho Falls when she was 5 years old. Darlene attended Hawthorne Elementary and O.E. Bell Jr. High. Her great grandkids came along and followed suit in teasing and tormenting her. She wasn’t able to enjoy some of her grandkids, great grandkids or the great great grandchild because of them living out of state, so they didn’t get to bug her and she didn’t get to bug them as much as she would have liked to do. She is survived by her Husband: James Sato of Idaho Falls Daughter: Vickie (Dan) Mccord of Idaho Falls; Daughter: Sandra (Rick) Kirn of Billings, Montana; Daughter: Pat (Dave) Simmons of Roy, Utah; Daughter: Kerry (Rick) Wessells of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Daughter: Linda (John) Swendsen, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Son: Michael Sato of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Daughter: DeNise Cherry of Shelley, Idaho; Brother: Ronald Ackerman of Menan, Idaho; Brother: Richard Jack Ackerman of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 24 Grandchildren and 47 Great Grandchildren and 1 on the way and 1 Great-great grandchild.
