Darlene Ann Jeter

Darlene Ann Jeter passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on August 12, 1938, in Seattle, Washington, to Jess Williams and Juanita Elizabeth Allen.

A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Darlene lived a life defined by unwavering faith, selfless service, steadfast resilience, and abiding love. She possessed a remarkable gift for making others feel seen, valued, and deeply loved, leaving an enduring impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Darlene’s life was blessed with an extraordinary love story that came full circle. She married Jim Jeter on October 21, 1955, her first great love. Although life’s journey eventually led them in different directions.

On November 13, 1964, she married Rod Landon. Together, they built a loving home, raised a family, and shared many happy fun years until Rod’s passing. After years apart, Darlene and Jim were reunited, and on September 16, 2013, they were married once again. Their reunion was a beautiful testament that true love can endure the passage of time. Darlene remained faithfully by Jim’s side until his passing, surrounding him with the same love that had first brought them together decades earlier.

Service to others was the hallmark of Darlene’s life. She found genuine joy in lifting those around her, helping others recognize their divine worth, and offering encouragement wherever she went. She lovingly served in many callings in the Church, including as a Family History missionary—a calling that reflected her deep love for both her ancestors and generations yet to come. She dedicated countless hours to family history, preserving treasured memories and strengthening family connections that will bless her posterity for years to come.

Darlene also found great happiness in creating beautiful crafts and sharing her talents with family and friends. Whatever she made was given with generosity, thoughtfulness, and love.

Her greatest joy, however, was always her family. She delighted in speaking of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, celebrating their accomplishments. Her heart was large enough to embrace not only her own family, but many others as well. She welcomed friends and neighbors as though they were her own, creating lasting bonds of love that extended far beyond family ties.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess Williams and Juanita Elizabeth Allen; her younger brothers, Michael and Larry; her beloved sons, Jeff and Terry Landon; son-in-law, Paul Robbins; her cherished great grandson, Jay; her husband, Rod Landon; and her beloved husband, Jim Jeter.

Darlene is survived by her children, Jim Landon (Kathy), Brock Martin (Vanessa), and Jaqui Robbins; her daughter-in-law, Tami Landon; her sister-in-law, Lilly Williams; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and treasured friends whose lives were forever enriched by her love.

Darlene will be remembered for her gentle spirit, compassionate heart, warm smile, quick wit, unwavering faith, and unconditional love. She possessed a quiet strength and remarkable grace that carried her through life’s joys and sorrows alike. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched through her kindness, generosity, and Christlike example.

Though her family mourns her passing, they find comfort and peace in the knowledge that she has been joyfully reunited with those who have gone before her. Her love, her faith, and the example she leaves behind will continue to guide and inspire all who knew her.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 9, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 6 North Teton Street, Sugar City, Idaho.
