DARLENE BATEMAN
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Darlene Fay Bateman, 70, of Idaho Falls,
died September 9, 2004, at home in Fairwinds Retirement Center.
She was born June 16, 1934, in Grant, Idaho, to Joseph
Hansen and Sarah Fay Ashment Hansen. She attended Grant Elementary, Midway
High School and graduated from Rigby High School.
She married Leland R. Clapp May 6, 1955, and they were
later divorced. She married her eternal companion, Leslie Donald Bateman
on June 16, 1985, in Twin Falls, Idaho. He preceded her in death.
Darlene was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in Salt Lake City at the Genealogical
Library. She served in the Temple and enjoyed studying the gospel and
doing genealogy.

Son: Karl (Mary) Clapp, Marion, IA
Daughter: Lorna (Bert) Holland, Idaho Falls, ID
Sister: Charolotte Brunelli, Twin Falls, ID
6 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Lynn Hansen and her
husband.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September
14, 2004, at the Idaho Falls LDS Crestwood Ward, 2055 Coronado, with Bishop
Kipp Manwaring officiating.
The family will visit with friends Tuesday, from 9:30
to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
Burial will be in Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery under the
direction of Wood Funeral Home.
