Darla Kindel

Darla Jean Hansen Kindel, 61, of Idaho Falls passed away February 28, 2012 at her home in Idaho Falls. She was born January 6, 1951 in Idaho Falls to Darlo Hansen and Betty Jean Adams Hansen. She was raised in the Goshen, Firth area and graduated from Firth High School. She attended Nursing School at the LDS Hospital. Darla married Henry Joseph Kindel on July 17, 1982 in Idaho Falls he passed away January 2001. Darla worked for Dr. Krantz in Idaho Falls and was an intensive care nurse at Riverview Hospital. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a member of CASA and volunteered for a local hospice. Darla was an Exchange Student sponsor. Darla enjoyed sewing, baking, and gardening. She loved her dogs Abby and Scrappy. She is survived by : Son, Travus D. (Chari) Hansen of Idaho Falls, ID; Son, Jonathan D. Kindel of Oklahoma City, OK; Son, Greg Kindel of Boston, MA; Son, Nathan Kindel of New York; Her parents, Darlo and Betty Hansen of Goshen, ID; Brother, Rick Hansen of Pocatello, ID; Sister, Brenda (Tim) Moon of Shelley, ID; Sister, Cindy (Frank) Gorgos of Idaho Falls, ID; and her grandchildren Jessica Lynn Hansen, Ryan Kent Hansen, Taylyn Kira Kindel and Landyn Scott Crawford. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 3 at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge Ave).The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.
