Darla Heyrend

Darla Marie Sides Heyrend, 74, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 3, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice. She was born July 2, 1940, in Kimberly, Idaho, to Donald D. Sides and LaVern J. Wardell Sides. She grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Idaho Falls High School. On March 20, 1957, she married DeLaine J. Heyrend in Elko, Nevada. To this union were born six children, Tamera, Shawna, Lana, Todd, Shane, and Travis. Darla and DeLaine made their home in Idaho Falls where Darla was a devoted mother, grandmother and homemaker and also worked at and managed Heyrend Produce. She retired as a Potato Inspector for the Idaho Department of Agriculture. She enjoyed home decorating, crafts, and painting. She especially loved her family and spending time with them. Darla is survived by Husband: DeLaine Heyrend, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Tamera ( Jeff) Waldron, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Shawna (Les) Russell, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Lana (Terry) Berry, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Todd Heyrend, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Shane (Cecilia) Heyrend, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Travis Heyrend, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Debbie Moore, Idaho Falls, ID 20 Grandchildren and 31 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Darold Sides; and a granddaughter, LeNeigna. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon).
