Peterson - 01/14/2002 DARL ALMA PETERSON IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Darl Alma Peterson, 87, of Ucon, passed away January 13, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center following a short illness. He was born May 12, 1914 to Joseph Alma Peterson and Mabel Collins Peterson in Garfield, Idaho. He grew up and attended schools in Garfield. He married Laura Ura Wilkens December 20, 1944 in Rigby, Idaho. He was a devoted husband and cared for her during her battle with cancer when she passed away April 10, 1982. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Darl worked as a laborer all of his life on many types of jobs and always gave his employers a 110% effort when on the job. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. Surviving are:Daughter: Connie Purkey, Idaho FallsSon: Dennis (Janice)Peterson, Idaho FallsDaughter: Cindy (Jack) Carter, West Yellowstone, MTSister: Alta Hansen , IonaSister: Fay Williams, Hermiston, OR7 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers, a sister and a grandson. Funeral Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2002, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines. The family will meet with friends on Wednesday for one hour prior to services at Woods. Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
