Danny Kent Hayes

Danny Kent Hayes, 62, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away on September 25, 2020, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his sons, after a brief fight with Multiple Myeloma.

He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his sons and their families: Mikka and Brandi Hayes, Troy and Angel Hayes, Trevor and Amanda Hayes; 9 grandchildren; his sister, Carollea Cussins; sister, Nila Child; brother, Joe Hayes; and sister, Sue Hayes.

Danny was predeceased by his wife, Carla Rae Hayes; nine brothers and one sister; as well as his parents, Francis Elmer Hayes and Alice Lucy Collier Hayes.

Danny will always be remembered for his love and creativity. He could always be found working on an artistic endeavor whether it be ceramics, wood fracking, rock collecting/polishing, or metal work. Danny really was a Tinker Extraordinaire, whose ideas often out passed his time, but never failed to bring a smile to those around him. Danny’s sense of humor was unique; he always enjoyed razzing those he loved and getting a smile out of anyone. Danny’s sense of joy spread to those around him.

Danny worked as a member of the Laborers’ Union and worked on many projects throughout Idaho. He enjoyed taking the occasional motorcycle ride and fishing when he had the opportunity. A lover of music and culture, he was always open to new ideas. Danny loved Jesus Christ and was baptized while attending Watersprings Church in Idaho Falls.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
