Daniel Ortiz

Daniel Jay “Chipez” Ortiz, 10, of Idaho Falls, passed away on September 3, 2012, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born May 9, 2002, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Joel Ortiz and Tonia Lynn Noreen Ortiz. He attended Longfellow Elementary and would have been in 4th grade this year. He had a background in both the Catholic and Mormon faiths. He enjoyed soccer, swimming, reading, dancing, riding his scooter and bicycle, and drawing. He especially loved his family and spending time with them. He was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors are: Parents: Joel and Tonia Ortiz, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Jonathen Ortiz, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Juan Ortiz, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Elvia Ortiz, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Alicia Ortiz, Idaho Falls, ID Grandparents: Stevan and Cynthia Noreen, Fidelina Martinez, and Isidro Ortiz Great Grandparents: Laveral and Bernice Noreen and Willard Watson He was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Margaret June Watson and his uncle, Unberto Ortiz. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2012, at the Ammon Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, prior to leaving for the cemetery.
