DANIEL NELSON
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Daniel Charles Nelson, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 22, 2008, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of causes incident to age . He was under the care of Idaho Home Health & Hospice.
He was born January 26, 1924, at Idaho Falls, Idaho to Daniel Edmond Nelson and Iola Pearl Rhoades Nelson. He grew up and attended schools in the area. He joined the Army in 1943 and served as a Private First Class during World War II.
On February 6, 1953, he married Barbara Mae Coleman in Idaho Falls. He worked at various jobs including laborer, section hand for the railroad, and worked for and retired from the City of Idaho Falls sanitation department.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He enjoyed walking, baseball games, hunting, camping, fishing. He also enjoyed playing his chromonica, horn, and accordian. Daniel especially loved spending time with his family including his grandchildren, great grandchildren and visiting with his neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Daniel Paul Nelson; two brothers, Dareld and Marvin; three sisters, Berniece Nelson, Donna Pinnock, and Iola Bruno; and Great Grandson, Matthew Christopher Blair.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2008, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Ave., with Chaplin Steve Young from Idaho Home Health & Hospice officiating. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home and Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and the Idaho Honor Guard. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.woodfuneralhome.com.
