Daniel Joseph Dalton

Daniel Joseph Dalton, 48, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 26, 2023, at his home.

Dan was born August 31, 1975, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Don Leo Dalton and Debra K. Rudolph Dalton. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and earned a certificate in counseling online.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when he was young and enjoyed it when he attended. He also practiced his religion in his home.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, target practice, Dungeons & Dragons card games, guns, and collected Playboy magazines.

Dan is survived by his sister, Denna Kay (Jaquyce) Meier of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Derrick DeWayne (Jazmin) Shedd of Idaho Falls, ID; and sister, DeAndra Jo (Scott) Jones of VA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Leo Dalton; sister, Jennifer Dalton; grandparents, Brent and Joanne Covington; grandparents, Harold and Grace Rudolph; grandparents, Joe and Ida Dalton; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
