Dana Robert Wood, passed away February 7, 2012 after driving home from a great day of skiing in the Teton Mountains.
He was born June 11, 1954 in Sayre, Pennsylvania to Paul Bartley Wood and Joyce Lewis Wood. He was one of 10 children.
He graduated from Elmira Southside High School, Tennessee Tech University where he earned his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, and Penn. State University where he earned his Master’s Degree in Nuclear Engineering.
Dana was employed as the Director of Operations at Idaho Falls School District #91. His former employers included Idaho National Lab, Mito Engineering and Chattanooga Glass.
He was a member of the Idaho Falls Nordic Ski Patrol and Kelly Canyon Alpine Ski Patrol.
His 57 years on earth were filled with hard work, hard play and love for his family. Dana loved skiing, biking, rafting, sailing, scuba diving and more.

Brother, John Wood of PA;
Sister, Karen Skorusa of PA ;

He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Wood King.

A Gathering will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 11 at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge Ave.) followed by a Celebration of Life at the VFW Building (485 Constitution Way) from 3-6 p.m.
