Dan Ray Ferguson, 57, of Rigby, Idaho passed away July 4, 2017, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Dan was born September 11, 1959, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Gerald Raymond Ferguson and Helen Joan Depue Ferguson. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Bonneville High School.
He married Teressa Painter in Ucon, Idaho. To this union were born three children: Christopher, Brady and Britney. Dan and Teressa made their home in Idaho Falls, where Dan worked for his father as a carpenter and equipment operator and later as a painter for over 30 years. They were later divorced.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dan was an avid hunter and fisherman, hound hunter, and outdoor enthusiast. He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
Dan is survived by son, Christopher (Darby) Ferguson of Rigby, ID; son, Brady (Shanea) Ferguson of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Britney (Miles) Cook of Idaho Falls, ID; parents, Gerald and Helen Ferguson of Idaho Falls; sister, Debbie (Rod) Wagner of Meridian, ID; brother, Jay (LeAnn) Ferguson of Caldwell, ID; and 9 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jimmy, Johnny, and Jerry; grandmother, Verla Leona Ferguson; grandfather, James Ray Ferguson; grandfather, Earnie L. Depue; and grandmother, Carrie Ella Knudsen Depue.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 14, 2017, at the Ririe LDS Perry Ward, 285 - 2nd West, with Bishop Justin Miller, officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 9:30 to 10:45 am at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
