IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Dan K. Ellis, 55, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 24, 2008, at his home of a heart attack.

When he returned from Denver he worked as a gunsmith in his parent’s store, Ike’s Gun Shop, until it was sold to Max Bosworth and he stayed on as a gunsmith until his health forced him to quit working in the spring of 2006.
He married Julie Jensen in October, 1975, and they had a beautiful son Travis K. Ellis. They were later divorced. He married Lisa Poliski in September, 1994. They divorced in 2007, but stayed good companions.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dan loved hunting with his Dad and friends. He also loved the mountains and fishing, horseback riding and riding motorcycles. He had a kind heart and would help anyone if possible.

Listen With Your Heart
Memories are a treasure
Time cannot take away…
So may you be surrounded
By happy ones today…
May all the love and tenderness
Of special years well spent
Come back today to fill your heart
With beauty and content…
And may you walk down MEMORY LANE
And meet the one you love
For while you cannot see him
He’ll be watching from above…
And if you trust you’re dreaming
Your faith will make it true…
And if you listen with your heart
He’ll come and be with you…
So for his sake be happy
And show him that his love
Has proven strong and big enough
To reach down from above…
And you will never walk alone
When Memory’s Door swings wide…
For you’ll find that you’re dear One.
Is always by your side.
