Damon Ralph Murdock, 35, of Ammon, passed away February 10, 2016, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Damon was born May 2, 1980, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Ralph Edward Murdock and Varleen Taylor Murdock. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Bonneville High School. Damon also graduated from Eastern Idaho Technical College. Damon worked at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center as a PBX operator. Damon enjoyed woodwork, staining, hunting and any other outdoor activities. After Damon’s accident, which left him paralyzed, with families permission he volunteered with Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center Social Services to help others with similar injuries. Damon is survived by his parents, Varleen and Ralph E. Murdock of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Ed (Amberlee) Murdock of Ammon, ID; brother, Cameron (Cassi) Murdock of Rigby, ID; sister, Shanda (Chris) Schmardebeck of Ucon, ID; sister, Ressha (Shannon) Mitchell of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Meisha (Lance) Johnson of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Triska (Michael) McClellan of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Kendra (Nate) Cundick of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Jarae (Steve) Wilcox of Rexburg, ID; dear friend, Susie Mackes and her sons, Max and Eli; and a number of long time friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Var and Nelda Taylor and Sara and Clarence Murdock. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at Wood East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, with Dean Arnoldsen officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 7-8:30 p.m. and Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior, both visitations at Wood’s.
