Damian Mark Riddoch, 37, passed away July 10, 2010, in a small plane crash in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born March 9, 1973, in Auburn, Washington, the son of Leland Mark and Heidi Strobel Riddoch.
Damian attended Hawthorne Elementary in Boise and Longfellow Elementary in Idaho Falls. He earned the Eagle Scout award when he was thirteen years old. He attended Idaho Falls High School. He played violin in the school orchestra and later served as ward organist and pianist. Damian received his Associates Degree in Chemical Engineering from Ricks College in the same month as his high school graduation, June, 1991.
Damian married the love of his life, Trisha Lee Gomm, in the LDS Idaho Falls Temple on August 13, 1994. They were blessed with four children.
He received a Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Brigham Young University and a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Idaho. Damian believed in obtaining the best education.
In 2002, Damian and family moved to England, where he earned a Masters of Business Administration from Oxford University. At the time of his death he was the Chief Financial Officer of US Highland, Inc., in Bixby, Oklahoma.
Damian was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a full–time mission in Cordoba, Argentina. He also served as Elder's Quorum President, Ward Mission Leader, organist and pianist.
Damian is survived by his wife, Trisha Lee Gomm Riddoch, two daughters, Marisa and Faith Anne, and two sons, Eric Damian and Jared Scott Riddoch; his parents, Leland Mark and Heidi Riddoch, brothers, Gage Nephi (Jessica) Riddoch, Lance Joseph (Kim) Riddoch, Taylor James (Cara) Riddoch, Rees John Riddoch, Neil Andrew Riddoch, Craig Thomas Riddoch, and Brant Joshua Riddoch; four sisters, Meagan (Charles) Tang, Heather (Kent) Okeson, Shawna (Curt) Wakefield and Anneka (Jon) Walker; and Trisha's parents, Thiel and Lola Gomm.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010, at the Idaho Falls LDS Home Ranch Ward, 3195 South Holmes Avenue, with Bishop Terry Orme officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church.
Burial will follow in Fielding Memorial Park.
