Damian Bird

Damian Anthony Bird, 25, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 18, 2018, at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho, from injuries received in an automobile accident. Damian was born January 21, 1993, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Todd Jay Bird and Connie Jolene Avila. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. He loved helping people, loved animals, and was a natural at gymnastics. He enjoyed being outside with friends and hanging out with his family and all his cousins. Damian is survived by his mother, Connie Avila of Idaho Falls, ID; father, Todd Bird of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Cassie Lyn Oswald of Preston, ID; brother, Curtis Alan Nixon of Idaho Falls, ID; grandmother, Sophronia Ann Bird of Idaho Falls, ID; and several other aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph Clyde Avila and Cora Jane Avila; and his grandfather, Roy Frank Bird. Graveside services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at the Ammon Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road.
