Dall Ray Lake, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 7, 2026, at his home. He was under the care of Eden Home Health and Hospice, Eden Home Care, and his loving family.
Dall Ray was born January 12, 1938, in Downey, Idaho, to Lavell Lake and Lenabell Fox Lake. He grew up and attended schools in the Downey area and graduated from Marsh Valley High School. Dall Ray served in the 116th Engineer Battalion.
On April 16, 1965, he married Linda Rae Humpherys in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Dall Ray and Linda made their home in Idaho Falls where Dall Ray worked as an operating engineer in construction.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many roles in The Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, camping, and Dutch oven cooking. He even designed his own teepee.
Dall Ray is survived by his daughter, Teresa Spillers of Rigby, ID; daughter, Kristy Holverson of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Lynette (Sean) Kelly of Ririe, ID; son, Travis (Amy) Lake of Idaho Falls, ID; son-in-law, Brett Larsen; sister, Janiece Barney; sister, Linda Bennett; sister-in-law, Gail Oswald; and 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda Lake; daughter, Kelli Larsen; son-in-law, Neil Holverson; brother, Terrel Blaine Lake; brother, Robert Dirk Lake; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Wilma Humpherys; step-father, David Kent; and many brother and sister-in-laws.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2026, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to services with both visitations at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. Military Honors will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and the Idaho Honor Guard.
