On Friday, April 3, 2020, Dr. Dalip Kumar Nayyar, loving husband and father of three children, passed away at age 65 from a heart attack.

Dalip was born on November 9, 1954, in Phillaur, Punjab, India, to Shiv Ram and Tej Nayyar. He completed his PhD from Punjab Agricultural University in 1980 and was an esteemed Sr Research Scientist in the Nutrition and Wellness industry for 40 years. He was awarded several patents throughout his career for his innovation. On December 12, 1982, he married the love of his life, Ameeta (Ahuja) Nayyar. They raised two daughters, Anjali and Sonia, and his son, Rahul. He made sacrifices throughout his life for the well being and future of his children and provided wisdom, love, and support.

Dalip had a passion for music, and he was known for bringing people together through music. He also loved to work on cars, and he was a Honda aficionado. His singing and playing of drums were much admired by friends and family. He was known for his sense of humor, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.

He is survived by his wife Ameeta, his three children, Anjali, Rahul, and Sonia, and his grandchildren, Tej, Liam, and Kian. A gathering will be held on Tuesday, April 7th, 2020 at Wood Funeral Home and Cremation Center at 10 o’clock a.m. MST.
