Dale Marvin, 73, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 27, 2026, at his home.

Dale was born July 25, 1952, in Seattle, Washington, to Leon Marvin and Dolly Bingamon McHugh. He grew up and attended schools in Seattle and graduated from Sealth High School. He also attended Bellevue Community College with a degree in fire science.

On June 2, 1984, he married Lena Anne Flannery in Auburn, Washington. Dale and Lena made their home in Tukwila, Washington. Dale worked as a firefighter lieutenant for 26 years at North Highline Fire Department in White Center, Washington.

He was a member of Living Water Church in Buckeye, Arizona, and Hope Lutheran Church in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He enjoyed cars and working on them. He also loved his TV shows. Among his favorite things to watch was Gunsmoke, and watching the Seattle Mariners and Seattle Seahawks play. He loved his family, and especially loved being a grandpa. He took his grandson, Daniel, to school every day.

Dale is survived by his wife, Lena Anne Marvin of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Cheryl Stevens; son, Bryan (Tracy) Stevens of Spokane, WA; sister, Teri (Brian) Bang of Bellingham, WA; sister, Linda (Trent) Kyes of Spokane, WA; sister, Patti Jennings of Renton, WA; sister, Sherri (Alan) Weaver of Renton, WA; sister, Val (Jerry) Lisenbee of Cheyenne, WY; 4 grandchildren, Jacob, Kelli, Meagan, and Katelyn; and 2 great grandchildren, Daniel and Sophie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Marvin and Dolly McHugh.
