Dale Fullmer

Dale Larry Fullmer 60, of Idaho Falls, lost his battle with cancer August 11, 2012, at his home, with his loving wife by his side. He was under Betty’s care as well as One Source Hospice. Dale was the first of seven children, born May 14, 1952, in Driggs, Idaho, to Larry Ray Fullmer and Erma Geneal Douglass Fullmer. The family later moved to Idaho Falls, where he attended Bonneville County schools and graduated from Bonneville High School. He also served in the National Guard for nine years. Dale worked several jobs, then found the job he loved, driving big rigs long haul for Fauna Industries and Wilbur Ellis. Dale was the father of five children, Skyler, Dale, Jr., Richard, Heather and Shannon. On September 14, 1985, he married the love of his life, Betty Jean Johnston, in Idaho Falls. He and Betty spent 28 years together until the time of his death. Dale was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed the outdoors, and liked to hunt, fish, camp, and pan for gold. He enjoyed spending time with his family at family reunions in Tetonia every summer. Dale was a gentle, kind man, and was loved and respected by those who knew him. After Dale joined the GPAA and Caribou Idaho Chapter, he spent summer outings with them and enjoyed it very much. At the time of his death he was vice president of the chapter. He enjoyed panning for gold on these outings and using the high banker. Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years: Betty, Son: Skyler Fullmer of Idaho Falls, ID Son: Dale Larry Fullmer Jr. of Idaho Falls, ID, Son: Richard (Nichole) Fullmer of Winfield, KS, Daughter: Heather (Russell) Malcomb of Idaho Falls, ID, Son: Shannon Fullmer of Idaho Falls, ID, Parents: Larry and Geneal Fullmer of Idaho Falls, ID; Sister: Regena Fullmer of Idaho Falls, ID, Sister: Mary (David) Bailey of Provo, UT; Brother: Wynn (Treasa) Fullmer of Idaho Falls, ID, Brother: Merrill Fullmer of Idaho Falls, ID, Brother: Bill (Jackie) Fullmer of Provo, UT, Brother: Ken (Michelle) Fullmer of Idaho Falls, ID; 15 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, an aunt, and an uncle. Funeral Services will be at held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2012, at the Idaho Falls LDS 21st Ward, 1155 East First Street, with Bishop Michael Baird officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Cache-Clawson Cemetery.
