Jerrol Dale Campbell, 82, of Rigby, passed away July 28, 2022, at his home. He was under the care of his loving family and Homestead Hospice.
Dale was born August 31, 1939, in Brigham City, Utah, to Hyrum Campbell and Violet Miller Campbell. He grew up and attended schools in Ogden, Utah, and graduated from Raft River High School in Malta, Idaho. He also attended the College of Meat Cutting in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1965. He served as a SP4 E-4 in the United States Army.
On January 25, 1962, he married Waneta Gage in the Idaho Falls Temple. Dale and Waneta made their home in Rigby, Idaho, where they raised their children, Doreen, Jeffrey, Selina, Carla, Russell, Juleen, and Randall. Dale worked as a meat cutter.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed ranching, dancing, fishing, and working on tractors. He won an award for the best postal activity. He was a very hard worker.
Dale is survived by his loving wife, Waneta Campbell of Rigby, ID; daughter, Doreen (Phillip) Horn of Rigby, ID; son, Jeffrey (Bonnie) Campbell of Brigham City, UT; daughter, Selina Campbell of Rigby, ID; daughter, Carla (Shon) Hocker of Coeur dā Alene, ID; son, Russell (Taunya) Campbell of Rigby, ID; daughter, Juleen (Daryl) Moss of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Randall (Carly) Campbell of Shelley, ID; sisters, Doris Jones of St. George, UT and Darlene (Kenneth) Hipwell of Ogden, UT; brother, Ross (Bonny) Campbell; 31 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hyrum and Violet Campbell; and sisters, Syble Eggett, Artense Mills, Colene Campbell, and Marlene Campbell.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022, at the Rigby-Pioneer Cemetery where Military Rites will be performed by the Jefferson County Veterans Memorial Team and the Idaho Honor Guard. The family will visit with friends from 8:30-10 a.m. prior to services at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road.
