Dale Ray Bunnell

Dale Ray Bunnell, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 26, 2025, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls.

Dale was born November 25, 1940, in Ammon, Idaho, to Jesse Bunnell and Carma Perry Bunnell. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1959.

On September 24, 1967, he married Darleen Ker in Elko, Nevada, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. Dale and Darleen made their home in Idaho Falls where Dale worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Boeing.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed painting and art.

Dale is survived by his wife, Darleen Bunnell of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Katherine (Francisco) Gallegos of Goodyear, AZ; son, David (Raechel) Bunnell of South Jordan, UT; brother, Paul (Joyce) Bunnell of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Dean (Cindy) Bunnell of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Don Bunnell of St. George, UT; sister, Jessa Bunnell of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Lewis (Debbie) Bunnell of Twin Falls, ID; and 6 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Bunnell; son, James Bunnell; and parents, Jesse and Carma Bunnell.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, with Bishop Aaron McCracken officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery. Military Honors will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Navy Honor Guard.
