Dale Blakely

Warren Dale Blakely, 70, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 24, 2013, at Arrowpoint Assisted Living Center. Dale was born December 5, 1942, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Collins Warren Blakely and Beatrice Dee Hogue Blakely. He grew up and attended schools in Ririe and graduated from Ririe High School. Dale married Arline Stone. From this union two children were raised, Jeff and Mark Blakely. They were later divorced. He married Caryl Roberts. From this union three children were raised, Shane, Danielle, and Mitchell Blakely. Dale made his home in Idaho Falls and worked as a salesman for several agricultural supply companies. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed taking his grandchildren out for hamburgers and ice cream. Dale loved a social life and was always up for a good laugh and story. Dale enjoyed cooking and his fried chicken was a favorite for all. Dale is survived by Son, Mark (Jody) Blakely of Omaha, NE; Son, Shane (Cindy) Blakely of Twin Falls, ID; Daughter, Danielle (Chris) Steadham of Idaho Falls, ID; Son, Mitchell Blakely of Idaho Falls, ID; Brother, David (Jolene) Blakely of Rigby, ID; Sister, Colleen (Ronnie) Rowen of Ririe, ID; Sister, Bonnie (David) Griggs of Tumwater, WA; Sister, Alice (Del) Eager of Shalfont, PA; Sister, Debbie (Pat) Bishop of San Antonio, TX. 9 grandchildren, Staton Blakely, William, Wesely, and Whitney Blakely, Alyssa, Zach, and Jace Steadham, and Jaylee & Traesan Blakely. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren & Dee Blakely, a brother, Ronnie Blakely, and his son, Jeff Blakely. Dale had a brain aneurism and suffered a stroke in 1999. The family is very grateful for all the care he received from family, friends, and the community. The family will meet with friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2013, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road.
