Delmar K “Kay” Snarr, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 28, 2012, at Lily and Syringa Assisted Living Center. He was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.
He was born April 18, 1933, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Delmar Daniel Snarr and Margaret Whitehead Oliverson Snarr. He attended New Sweden Elementary School, Central Jr. High and American School.
He joined the U. S. Air Force and served during the Korean War as an Airman 2nd Class.
Kay married Dianna Marie Blair on June 19, 1954, in Portland, Oregon. They made their home on the west side of Idaho Falls while raising their five children. He worked as a dairy farmer, and, in his later years, worked as a local custodian.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Kay loved airplane models and cartooning.

Son, Warren Snarr of Rigby, ID;
Daughter, Teresa (Garth) Tietjen of Los Alamos, NM;
Daughter, Denise (Thomas) Williams of Lewistown, MT;
Mother, Margaret Snarr of Idaho Falls, ID;
Sister, Sherlene (Octavio) Galindo of Fountain Hills, AZ;
Sister, DeeAnn (Laird) Whipple of Panaca, NV;
6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father, Delmar Daniel “Dick” Snarr, and a daughter, Pamela Jean Snarr.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012, at the Idaho Falls LDS Osgood Ward with Bishop Brad Reed officiating. The family will visit with friends starting at 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
