D. Mark Ricks

Derrald Mark Ricks, 71, formerly of Idaho Falls, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012, in Highland, Utah. Mark was born on July 20, 1941, in Idaho Falls to Annie Elizabeth Crystal and Derrald Francis Ricks. He graduated from Bonneville High School in 1959. He served an LDS mission to the Southwest Indian Mission. He married Lois Ann Miller of Idaho Falls in the Idaho Falls temple. He is survived by his wife, five children; Kimberly, Nalyn, Ty, Lisa and Jenee’; 15 grandchildren; and his siblings, Nedra Williams, Jean Schweider, Roger Ricks, Paul Ricks and Marsha Nielsen. Mark obtained his MSW degree from the University of Utah and worked for 33 years for LDS Family Service – 21 years as the Director over the state of Montana. He loved farming, fishing, spending time with his family and serving others. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 12-12:45 p.m. prior to services at Wood East Side. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
