Douglas Cody Archibald, 20, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away November 17, 2011. Cody was born March 1, 1991, in Logan, Utah, to Douglas Dean Archibald and Eileen Owen Archibald. He grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and South Jordan, Utah, where he attended Hillcrest and Bingham High Schools. Cody was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He enjoyed camping, football, hunting, and fishing. Cody especially enjoyed hanging out with his friends and family and loved spending time with his nieces, nephews and cousins. Survivors include: Mother, Eileen Archibald of Idaho Falls, ID; Father, Douglas (Wendy) Archibald of South Jordan, UT; Brother, Boe Archibald of South Jordan, UT; Sister, Krystle Archibald of Idaho Falls, ID; Step-brother, Carter Helm of South Jordan, UT; Step-sister, Leslee Helm of South Jordan, UT; Grandmother, Dorothy Owen of Preston, ID; Grandparents, Jerry and Juleen Nelson of Grover, WY; and many aunts and uncles. Cody was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Beverly Archibald, a grandfather, Lester Owen, and two cousins, Matthew Owen and Rachel Beyer. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at the Iona LDS 6th Ward, 1040 North Crimson Drive, with Bishop David Adams officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wood Funeral Home East Side. 963 South Ammon Road, and Tuesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Preston Cemetery.
