Cynthia “Cindy” Diane Cochran Stone, 45, of Dubois, passed away on September 24, 2014, at Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg, having fought a courageous battle against cancer. She was born March 5, 1969, in Minot, North Dakota to Roger Edward Cochran and Linda Lee Sloan Cochran. The family moved to Lima, Montana where she attended schools and graduated from Lima High School. She lived in Deer Lodge, Montana for 2 years; Oklahoma for 1 year; Avon, Montana for 2 years; and moved to Dubois, Idaho 18 years ago. On May 23, 2010, she married Troy Neal Stone in Dubois, Idaho. Three of her greatest joys in life were her husband, Troy, and two daughters, Adrienne and Brandi. Cindy appreciated and loved spending time with her parents. Whether it was camping, four-wheeling or doctor appointments, they were always there to show love and support to her and her family. She worked as the lunch supervisor for the school lunch program at the Clark County school district. She loved the kids and would sneak cookies to them before sports practices. The kids called her “Mama Cindy.” She was a hard worker and enjoyed helping the Clark County Search and Rescue with their annual banquet. She worked tirelessly and was loved by all who knew her. Cindy enjoyed camping and four-wheeling with friends and family. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Survivors are: Husband: Troy Stone, Dubois, ID Daughter: Adienne Cox, Elkin, North Carolina and Zack Smith, son-in-law to be Daughter: Brandi Stone, Dubois, ID Parents: Roger and Linda Cochran, Lima, MT Sister: Marlynn (Chris) Smith, Broadview, MT Niece: Jasmine Hurlbert, Broadview, MT Nephew: Seth Hurlbert, Broadview, MT She was preceded in death by her grandparents, great grandparents, and an uncle. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014, at the Beaver Creek LDS Ward in Dubois, with bishop Neil Wood officiating. The family will visit with friends at 10 a.m. Thursday prior to services at the church In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an account at East Idaho Credit Union on her behalf, in connection with Clark County Search and Rescue Cindy Stone Memorial Fund.
