Curtis John Stacey

Curtis John Stacey, 64, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 5, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from heart failure.

Curtis was born September 8, 1959, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Farrel Jay Stacey and Berniece Rasmussen Stacey. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He also attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho.

On October 20, 1978, he married Alana Joy Kotter Stacey in the Idaho Falls Temple. Curtis and Alana made their home in Idaho Falls where Curtis worked as a Police Officer, Detective Sergeant, and Patrol Lieutenant for the Idaho Falls Police Department. He loved serving in Law Enforcement for Idaho Falls.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed shooting fire arms, reading, and watching sports with his wife, especially his grandsons' games, and spending time with his family.

Curtis is survived by his wife, Alana Stacey of Idaho Falls, ID; son, David (Ginger) Stacey of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Kara (Steve) Clem of Iona, ID; brother, Doug (Marcela) Stacey of Idaho Falls, ID; and his sister-in-law, Janet (Ron) Stacey; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ron Stacey.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the Thunder Ridge 2nd Ward, 4459 John Adams Parkway, Idaho Falls, Idaho, with Bishop Jeff Hansen officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery.
