Cozette Markowski

Cozette "Cozy" Markowski, 55, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 6, 2016, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, surrounded by family.

Cozy was born December 21, 1960, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Larry R. Crystal and Colleen Christensen Oswald. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and received her GED from Eastern Idaho Technical College. She was also in the Health Physics Program and received her Certificate of Applied Science in 1992.

On June 4, 2005, she married David J. Markowski in Idaho Falls. Through this union their combined family included five children, Marek, Mandy, Sara, Cody, and Jennifer. Cozy and David made their home in Idaho Falls, where she worked as a radiation technologist for Bechtel.

She enjoyed crafts, photography, watching birds and wildlife, decorating for weddings, and flower gardening.

Cozy is survived by her loving husband of ten years, David Markowski of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Marek (Lora) Markowski of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Mandy (Mike) Rushin of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Sara (Tuan) Tran of Yorba Linda, CA; son, Cody (Leslie) Scheer of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Jennifer Markowski of Idaho Falls, ID; mother, Colleen (Wes) Oswald of Boise, ID; brother, Boyd Reese (Tara) Barnes of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Lorri (Robert) French of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Shellie (Wayne) Campbell of Chubbuck, ID; 13 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her biological father, Larry R. Crystal; father, Boyd C. Barnes; and niece, Crystal Crew.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, with Jon Wood officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to services, both times at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Grant Cemetery.
