Cora V. Coles - 10/29/2001 Cora V. Coles - 10/29/2001 CORA V. COLES IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Cora Veda Ellis Coles, 94, of Milo, died October 27, 2001, at her home of natural causes. She was under the care of District VII Home Health & Hospice. She was born August 5, 1907, at Clark, near Ririe, to Frederick George Ellis and Rachel Hill Ellis. She grew up in the Clark area and attended Rudy School. She has lived in the area all her life. She married Leroy Benjamin Coles April 9, 1927, at Rigby. Their marriage was solemnized December 18, 1946, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was a mother, grandmother, homemaker and worked beside her husband on the family farm. Her husband passed away March 11, 1983. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served as Relief Society President, Secretary in Stake Genealogy, as President, 1st and 2nd Counselor in the Primary, and as a teacher. She served as a Visiting Teacher for 74 years. She enjoyed singing in the ward choir, traveling, canning and gardening, baking, square dancing, and her grandchildren. Surviving are:Daughter: Arlene [Kenny] Remington, St. Anthony, IDSon: Reed [Inez] Coles, Salt Lake City, UTSon: Derold [Beverly] Coles, Idaho Falls, IDSon: Gary [Kaye] Coles, Milo, IDSon: Brent Lee [Roseann] Coles, Wilder, IDDaughter: Beverly [Mike] Stoker, Yakima, WATwin Half Sisters: Viola & Rayola 36 Grandchildren, 102 Great Grandchildren, 15 Great Great Grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, and four brothers. The family wishes to express their special thanks and appreciation to District VII Home Health & Hospice for their loving care and concern. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2001, at the Milo LDS 2nd Ward, 12127 North 75 East, with Bishop Ken Stucki officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, and for one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Milo Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
