Cora Avila

Cora Jane Moore Avila, 70, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 31, 2011, at Parkwood Meadow Assisted Living. Cora was born April 26, 1941, to Francis Henry Moore and Ada Jane Martin Moore in Grant, Idaho. She grew up in Menan, Idaho, and attended schools in the area, graduating from Rigby High School. She married Joseph Clyde Avila. She was a mother and homemaker and also worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). Her husband preceded her in death on October 21, 1991. Cora was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed crocheting blankets and loved spending time with her friends and family. Survivors are: Daughter: Connie Jolene Heaton, Boise, ID Daughter: Eugena Lynn (Robert Taylor) Avila, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Francis Eugene Avila, Pocatello, ID Daughter: Elizabeth Jane (Michael Johnson) Avila, Idaho Falls, ID 11 grandchildren and 1 on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, twosisters, and a brother. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Annis-Little Butte Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, prior to leaving for the cemetery.
