CONNIE WALKER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Connie Deloris Barr Walker, 64, of Idaho Falls, died August 12, 2005, in Montana, from injuries received in an automobile accident.
She was born September 21, 1940, in Idaho Falls, to Glenn Elmer Barr and Grace Campbell Barr. She attended schools in Montana and Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School.
On August 14, 1958, she married David Victor Walker of Idaho Falls. Connie and David made their home in Idaho Falls and had three children, Mishele, Teresa, and Tony between the years of September, 1960, through January of 1964. Connie was an energetic and loving mother. She was very involved in all of her children’s activities. After they were grown, Connie and David started to enjoy life with grandchildren. She was known for having a good time with the kids no matter what the activity, including jumping off the shed on to the trampoline, riding on wild rides and giving many hugs and kisses. Her last hours before her death she was watching her newest grandson, Luke.
Connie was an artist and loved to decorate and collect antiques. She was very talented and creative. She and her husband, David, built many businesses and she was currently the owner of Big Sky Truck Stop in Dillon, Montana. Connie was very generous, kind and loving; she was always ready to help anyone in need. Although our hearts are broken, they are full of love for the way she loved us.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, David Victor Walker; three children, Mishele Walker of Salt Lake City, Utah, Teresa (Bruce) Blanchard of Rexburg, and Tony (Emi) Walker of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Connie had 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She is also survived by a sister, Sharon Thompson of Salt Lake City, Utah, and a brother, Duane Barr of Dillon, Montana. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ralph Barr.
Memorial Services will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, August 16, 2005, in Dillon, Montana, at Big Sky Truck Stop on Exit 56 off I-15.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2005, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, Idaho Falls. The family will meet with friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Wednesday for one hour prior to the services, both at Wood Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
