FRUIT HEIGHTS , UT -- Our beloved sweet mother, Connie Lavon Weeks Olson, passed away October 10, 2007.
She was born July 15, 1943, to Howard Weeks and Dorothy Lavon Park Weeks in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Mom grew up in a happy home in Swan Valley, Idaho, surrounded by many friends, cousins, and family. She was the oldest to numerous siblings: Brian, Marianne, Charlene, Alan, Shirley, Betty, Cindy, Perry, Dale, Brenda, Cricket, & Aaron.
She married Stewart Karl Olson March 25, 1960. They divorced several years later, but were blessed with four children who were the light of her life, Lori Gardner, Kim Olson, Susan Wernli, and Clint Olson.
Mom was an accomplished cook in many kitchens. She spent many years in elementary schools serving kids. She would always ask the children at the end of the lunch line if they remembered to thank the lunch ladies today. She was an expert at teaching others tips and tricks to make the kitchen run more smooth and efficient.
The last years of her life were spent giving volunteer service to senior centers and literacy programs. She made friends easily everywhere she went. She was more then willing to help out when needed and enjoyed giving gifts, especially to her grandchildren. Her legacy of service, giving, and love will be with us always.
She is survived by her children, Lori & Cole Gardner, Kim & Patty Olson, Susan & Ron Wernli, Clint & Ann Olson; 12 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; her siblings and their spouses. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Brian; and sister, Marianne.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends Monday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., both at Wood Funeral Home. Interment will be at Fielding Memorial Park.

I was really sorry to hear about your mom, but I know that her and my mom and dad (Ted & Sue Curtis) are up in heaven having a cup of coffee or whatever they do up there!! :) My mom loved Connie so much and appreciated their friendship. I loved getting to know her, too, when I was going over to Ucon. She was lots of fun. You're in my prayers.
