Connie Jones

Connie M. (Simmons) Jones passed away in hospice care in Idaho Falls, Idaho, on Saturday, June 14, 2025.

Connie was born on September 26, 1960, in Rigby, Idaho, to parents Lyle S. Simmons and Eleanor A. Simmons. She was baptized as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Growing up, she loved listening to her 45 records and playing the organ. In high school, she played on the volleyball team for the Special Olympics, and the team took first place. After high school, she worked at McDonald's, Arby's, and Subway for many years. Connie loved to work and always had a smile to welcome customers at the door.

On July 27, 2002, Connie married the love of her life, Donald J. Jones. Connie and Donnie were a matched set and enjoyed playing with their dogs, going camping, going out for coffee and pie, and enjoying their home.

Connie is survived in death by her husband, Donnie; siblings, Bruce Simmons, Alan Simmons, Jennifer (John) Weaver, and Andrew (Kat) Simmons; brother-in-law, Edward Jones; and her nieces and nephews.

Connie was preceded in death by both her mother and father; mother-in-law, Dorothy Jones; and niece, Nicole Seabolt.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 955 Memorial Drive, Idaho Falls, Idaho.
