Connie Lee (Jacklin) Jones

Connie Lee Jones, 80, returned to her loving Heavenly Father, January 27, 2024.

She was born Constance Lee Polydorus on April 4, 1943, in American Fork, Utah.

She came into this world with an older sister, Ruth, waiting for her. When she was 6 years old, her mom, Erma Lee Gardner, married Ernest Phillip Jacklin on March 10, 1949. Soon after, Connie and Ruth were adopted by their new dad and she became Connie Lee Jacklin.

She grew up in American Fork, Utah, attending school there through her junior year. In 1960 she married Wayne C. Pace; she was 17 years old at the time. Nine months and 13 days later they welcomed their first child, Jewlin Louise. Cammie Lee came along 12 months and 5 days later and Timothy Wayne joined the family 19 months after that. By the time she was 20 she was the mother of three. These three were followed by 6 more children over the course of the next 18 years. Ramie Sarah, Blaine Alma, Rodney Byron, Derrick Ernest, Melissa Elizabeth, and Jodi Fay. They lived in American Fork, Utah, for 13 years,  Lehi, Utah, for 4 years, and then moved to Chester, Utah. After 25 years of marriage, Connie and Wayne called it quits and were divorced.

She took the remaining children left at home and lived in several different places; to include Fairview, UT, Nephi, UT, Littlefield, AZ, Clear Lake Oak, CA, and Orem, UT. In time she moved to St. Anthony, Idaho, to be closer to family.

When Jewlin and Cammie were old enough for girl scouts, Connie and her mom started the first Girl Scouts of America in American Fork. They served the surrounding cities as well, which they did for several years.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When her children were younger, she taught primary for several years.

On February 11, 2017, she married Robert Jones. He has become an amazing part of her large and extended family. They were living in Idaho Falls, Idaho, at the time of her death.

Connie wasn't rich in terms of the world, but she felt rich with her family. No matter her means or her circumstances she always would give whatever she had to whomever asked for it. She wanted to help, even if it took everything she had.

Connie lived for and loved her grandchildren, talking about them every chance she could. She has 31 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. She loved spending time with them more than anything else.

She is survived by her amazing husband, Robert Jones; daughters, Jewlin (Dennis) Fox of American Fork, Utah, Cammie (Glen) Muir of Rexburg, Idaho, Ramie Hatton of Rexburg, Idaho, Melissa Leavitt of St. Anthony, Idaho, Jodi (Ryan) Webster of St. Anthony, Idaho; sons, Blaine Pace (JaDee) of Rigby, Idaho, Rodney Pace of St. Anthony, Idaho, and Derrick Pace of St. Anthony, Idaho; 31 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruth; son, Timothy Wayne; grandson, Zach; a great granddaughter and great grand baby twins.
